๐ About Learn Habibi & privacy
- With a family account, progress is stored in your family's account on Cloudflare (in a Cloudflare D1 database that belongs to this website). It follows you from device to device. Only you, logged in with your email and password, can see it.
- What is stored: your email address, your password as a one-way salted hash (never the password itself), and for each child a nickname, year group, avatar and optional PIN (also hashed), plus their answers totals, topic scores, game levels, challenge and mock-exam scores, badges and the days they practised. No real names, photos, birthdays or locations are needed โ please use a nickname.
- Cookies: one cookie is used only to keep you logged in (it is HttpOnly and Secure and expires after 30 days or when you log out). There are no adverts, no tracking and no analytics cookies.
- Guest mode (no account) keeps everything in this browser's local storage only; nothing is sent anywhere. Clearing browser data or private browsing removes it. Guest progress can be copied into a family account when you sign up or log in.
- Deleting: you can delete a child profile here, or delete the whole family account and all its data from the Family account page at any time.
- Backups: Export makes a file of the progress shown here; Import adds a backup file's players (to this device, or to your family account when logged in).
๐งญ How it works
- Year groups: everything is organised by UK National Curriculum year (Reception to Year 6). Choose any year โ if your child is young for their year or ready for a stretch, simply pick the year above or below.
- Challenges: a fixed weekly set of 10 problems for each year plus a daily mix of 8 that changes every day. Children get hints, three tries and a worked explanation.
- Mock exams: original papers for every year. Year 2 and Year 6 follow the KS1/KS2 SATs style (arithmetic + reasoning); Year 4 includes a multiplication tables check practice (25 questions, 6 seconds each). Each paper can be taken online (timed, auto-marked) or printed with a separate answer sheet.
- Games: a 10-question placement test finds a starting level, then the level adapts in real time (up after 3 correct in a row or 2 fast answers; down after 2 misses in a row or 3 in the last 5).
- Weak topics are topics with at least 3 answers and under 75% correct.
- All questions are original. Generated questions are checked automatically by the site's test suite; hand-written answers have been double-checked.
